• Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education

  I spent my first two years of college at Nebraska Weslelyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska then transferred to Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri at the beginning of my junior year. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.

• 30 Plus Graduate Hours in the Education Field

Received graduate hours in the Education field from: University of Iowa,  Iowa City, IA; Drake University, Des Moines, IA; Hastings College in Hastings, NE; and the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Kearney, NE.

• Writing Instruction

Have attended many writing related workshops and conferences. They follow: Iowa Summer Workshop at the University of Iowa, Mark Twain Writing Conference at La Grange College, Hannibal, Missouri; Mt. Hermon Writers Conference, Mt. Hermon, California; Glorieta Writers Conference, Glorieta Conference Center, New Mexico; Write-to-Publish Conference, Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois; Colorado Christian Writers Conference, Estes Park, Colorado; Write On The Sound Conference, Edmonds Washington. In addition to the above, I attend as many Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrator events as possible.
